TAHITI LIME

Tahití lime, also known as Tahitian lime, Persian lime, Messina lime, seedless lime or Bearss lime, accounts for 70% of Peruvian lemon exports.

The fruit is about 6 cm in diameter, often with slightly pointed ends, it is usually sold in green, although when it reaches full maturity it is yellow. It is larger, with a thicker skin and less aromatic than the acidic lime that is the most cultivated lime worldwide.

The advantages of this lime over other limes are that it is larger, has no seeds, has greater resistance to diseases, and longer duration of the fruit once harvested.
